Saskatchewan PNP Immigrate to Canada without a job offer

Immigrate to Canada without a job offer: Saskatchewan PNP

Canada is a popular destination for people around the world for beginning a new life. Thousands of people immigrate to the country each year to live and work in the country. Canada has a number of industries that are seeking skilled professionals from abroad. This makes immigrating to Canada possible.

Having a job offer before relocating to Canada makes it much easier to relocate to the Great White North. However, you may not need a job offer to immigrate to Canada if you choose to live and work in the province of Saskatchewan.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is one of a number of Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) that provides immigration options for applicants from abroad who do not have an existing a job offer.

Canadian immigration routes

The Express Entry system is the most popular route to immigrate to Canada. The PNP is a popular alternative to immigrating to the country. Express Entry uses a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Individuals accumulate points based on human capital factors.

Oftentimes, an Express Entry candidate does not need a job offer, but a job offer will result in a higher number of points. Therefore, a candidate will have a better chance of being allowed to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

The PNP was created to provide a more balanced distribution of the benefits of Canadian immigration throughout the entire country. The government doesn’t want all of its immigration and brain-power to be in just one place. The PNP helps to spread out immigration and skilled workers.

The immigration program allows provinces and territories that participate to nominate a set number of economic immigrants for permanent residence on a yearly basis. The PNP is different in each province. The provinces determine their own set of requirements for immigrants.

How can I immigrate without a job offer using SINP?

Canada has nine provinces and two territories that participate in the PNP. Saskatchewan is one of Canada’s provinces that participates. Saskatchewan is located in Western Canada and is a prairie province. The local economy is firmly based on agriculture and the region’s natural resources. Two of the biggest industries are forestry and fishing. Saskatchewan plays a major part in the production and supply of agricultural products for the rest of the world.

The SINP offers pathways for Canadian immigration. Saskatchewan nominates non-Canadians through the SINP. Candidates who wish to relocate to the province are provided with the opportunity to become permanent residents in Canada.

There are two active provincial nomination streams available in which candidates do not need a job offer. The first stream is the Saskatchewan Express Entry-linked pathway. An individual is required to have an active profile with the federal Express Entry system before applying.

An express Entry candidate that receives a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan is awarded 600 additional points for their CRS score. The awarding of additional points almost guarantees the candidate the opportunity to apply for permanent residence in Canada. To be considered for an invitation to apply for the SINP, a candidate must create an Express Entry profile and express their desire to settle in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Occupation In-Demand pathway

The second stream is the Saskatchewan Occupation In-Demand pathway. It does not require a candidate to have an active Express Entry profile. The pathway is designed to attract skilled workers to fill labour market shortages in Saskatchewan. An applicant must have at least a year of work experience in one of the employment positions on Saskatchewan’s Occupations In-Demand list to be eligible to apply.

The province routinely gives out invitations through the two streams. So far this year, Saskatchewan has provided 2,733 Saskatchewan Express Entry and 3,433 Occupations In-Demand candidates with invitations. In total, 6,166 candidates have been given invitations this year.
