Do I need a job in Canada to Immigrate?
Not necessarily, but of course receiving an offer of a job in Canada can certainly help the Immigration process, not to mention the added security of knowing that you have paid employment as soon as you land in your new home.
For those already in the Immigration process securing a genuine job offer from an approved Canadian Employer can and will have some very significant benefits. If you are in the Express Entry program you will receive extra points as soon as we can prove on your behalf that you’ve received a job offer in Canada supported by what is called a Labor Market Impact Agreement – essentially proving the offer is genuine and that the employer has gone through the correct steps.
We are often called upon by both employees and potential employers to arrange and validate a Job offer with a LIMA and we are always delighted to assist. We specialize in making this process as seamless as possible for employees and potential new employers.
I want Permanent Residence but my job starts soon. Do I have to wait?
No, the Canadian Government has no interest in making you or the potential employer wait and we can usually secure you a work permit whilst we wait for your Permanent Residency to be approved and issued. One of the main aims of the Express Entry Program is to foster links between economic migration and the Canadian Job Market. For this very reason applicants who are qualified and hold a valid job offer will automatically receive enough points to ensure they are called forward for their Visa.
