The supervisa is a popular option for immigrants to Canada who wish to visit their parents or grandparents for a longer period of time to build their life and career in Canada. In the most recent application period, demand far outweighed the available supply of visas. However, PGP is currently locked for new applications and can therefore be considered a backup option. Another option is the Canada Super Visa Program (CUPS).
Canadian citizens or permanent residents who support their parents or grandparents are a sponsor who reaches the income limit, or a family member with an annual income of at least $100,000.
The changes will come into force immediately and will now be reflected in the documents required by the applicants for the supervisory visa. Applicants can access the full list of documents such as passports, driving licenses, health insurance and other documents. When deciding whether a person can come to Canada, immigration authorities review several things. The person must be a genuine visitor from Canada who leaves at the end of the visit of his choice.
